About XDC

Behind every film stands a person.
Behind every choice, a reason.

My name is Daniel. I run XDC in the Netherlands, uniting technical care with an ear for music and an eye for rhythm and image. I craft films from concept to the final cut.

Perception

First understanding what truly matters.

Before proposing a film, I want to understand the underlying need. On extensive projects, I look closely into the company's background, values and everyday workflow, seeking what gives it character and deserves attention.

My technical background helps me comprehend intricate processes and notice essential details. This is especially valuable in industrial settings, yet curiosity drives me further: into products, architecture, events and people worth capturing.

Rhythm

Music helps me visualize the film before shooting begins.

When exploring a subject, I also search for its acoustic tone. Music suggests pacing, tension and moments where visuals need room to breathe. On larger productions, I shape this before filming, giving clear intent to on-set work.

In the edit suite, I evaluate how image and sound interact. Sometimes high energy is called for; other times a calm cadence or silence. These choices must stem naturally from the brand's narrative.

Collaboration

You collaborate directly with the creator of your film.

A concept to discuss

Before production, I present a proposal and we discuss it online. This provides space for your perspective, questions and directional refinement.

Shared story first

I share a rough cut so we can evaluate the story itself. Your intimate knowledge of your business meets my cinematic perspective.

Dedicated to the end

Once the story is agreed upon, I polish the rhythm, color grading, motion graphics and sound. Feedback is integrated into a refined final delivery.
